Professor Mitat Çelikpala
Dr. Mitat Çelikpala is Professor of International Relations at Kadir Has University, Istanbul where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on Eurasian security, energy and critical infrastructure security/protection, Turkish foreign and domestic policy, Black Sea region and the Caucasus. His areas of expertise are the Caucasus, North Caucasian Diaspora, people and security in the Caucasus and Black Sea regions, Turkish-Russian relations, energy security and critical infrastructure protection.
Professor Çelikpala has conducted extensive research on these areas with special focus on regional security, international and regional cooperation. In addition to his academic publications, he has written several op-eds for some Turkish daily newspapers and magazines on these topics, and delivered presentations in academic conferences and workshops.
Prof. Çelikpala previously served as an academic advisor to NATO’s Center of Excellence Defense against Terrorism in Ankara (2009-2012), especially on the regional security and the critical infrastructure protection; and was the board member to the Strategic Research and Study Center (SAREM), Turkish General Staff (2005-2011); Academic Adviser to the Center for Strategic Research (SAM), Turkish Foreign Ministry (2002-2010) and Caspian Strategy Institute, Istanbul Turkey (2012–2013). He was a Senior Associate Member at St Antony’s College, Oxford University, UK (2005-2006).

Dimitrios Triantaphyllou is the Director of the Center for International and European Studies (CIES) at Kadir Has University and Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations. He holds a BA in Political Science and History from the University of California,
Berkeley and an MA and PhD in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. He has previously served in various capacities in a number of research institutions in Greece, France, the United Kingdom and in policy advisory positions. He
is Associate Editor of Southeast European and Black Sea Studies (SSCI indexed); a member of the Greek-Turkish Forum; co-convener of the Commission on the Black Sea; a member of the Advisory Boards of the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation; the International Institute for
Peace, Vienna; and the Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey.
İpek Yezdani has been working as a journalist and covering international news in various national and international media outlets including Daily Hürriyet, Hürriyet Daily News, Daily Milliyet, Associated Press, BBC, Mc Clatchy News and Daily Cumhuriyet for 18 years. She studied BA in Radio-Television and Cinema at Faculty of Communication at Marmara University in Istanbul.
Because of her work in journalism, she won the “Dag Hammarskjöld Scholarship” from United Nations Correspondents Association in 2002 in order to cover UN General Assembly for 4 months in New York in 2002. She studied her MA degree in “International Journalism” at the London City University between 2004 and 2006. She won a coveted fellowship program for professional journalists called “Knight Wallace Fellowship” at University of Michigan in US for five months in 2008.
She has been working as the senior diplomatic and foreign news correspondent for Daily Hürriyet and Hürriyet Daily News since 2011. Due to her work in the field; she has traveled many countries in the Europe and Middle east region including Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Greece and other EU countries for covering various issues regarding foreign politics.
In March 2016, she won the Journalism Success Award from the most major and influential journalism association in Turkey, Turkish Journalists Association (TGC) with her published interview with the Yazidi women who were enslaved by ISIS in 2015
Dr. Hikmet Ceyhun Göcenoğlu
Ceyhun Göcenoğlu has an extensive experience on corporate social responsibility through his academic, professional, civil society engagements and media.
Gocenoglu had his Msc degree on Corporate Governance and Ethics at London University Birkbeck College via Chevening scholarship and Ph.D. in Communication at Marmara University “Functionality of Corporate Social Responsibility Reports in Communication of Corporate Social Responsibility: A Field Study in Banking Industry”. Gocenoglu has been the founder secretary of Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey and a founding member of Support to Life. He was managing the Public Diplomacy Program at British Council including to improve business relations between Turkey and UK. HE has professional working experience relating to corporate affairs at telecommunication and ICT industries in Turkey.
He is currently Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs Manager at IBM in Turkey. Gocenoglu also contributes Harvard Business Review Turkey blog and visiting lecturer at Kadir Has University on CSR.
Feride Doğan has a bachelor’s degree in Business Adminitration from Bilkent University. She took an interest on CSR in 2006 and did her MSc Degree in Sustainability & Management, from Royal Holloway University, London.
While working in private sector as a finance expert for Nurol Construction and Trading Company, she started to work voluntarily and then professionally for CSR Turkey.
She was the executive director of CSR Turkey and also worked at Kadir Has University Life Long Learning Center as an expert for 2 years. She is currently the CSR Manager of ING Bank Turkey.
Dr. Kaan Kutlu Ataç
Dr. Kaan Kutlu Ataç is experienced Senior Staff with a demonstrated history of working in the Turkish Government. Dr. Ataç’s academic background includes Political Science, International Relations, Diplomatic History, Turkish-American relations and Middle East Politics. Business Planning, Analytical Skills, Production and Marketing are among the private sector experience lasted more than ten years. Government. He has strong research professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree focused in Political and Diplomatic History from Hacettepe University.
